Let me ask you a question: Are you currently making money with Adsense? Chances are great, you made some money from it in the past using one of the numerous page generators which created websites with thousands of pages of "optimized" rubbish... Pages, which consisted of nothing more than scraped content. Content, which was taken from the search engine results pages themselves - which had lots of website descriptions on them and links to the results for these keyword searches... Many "black hatters" were doing nothing else than to keep building hundreds of new websites in the hope that some of them would stick long enough to make them some money. Some of them were quick enough to build enough sites so they can make a profit. Who's faster... the blackhatter or Google...? Do you want to be continually building your sites against the clock or Google? But they were "burning" domains by the dozens every week (some of them still do). Sometimes even every single DAY! Just something like 2-3 years ago, it was really easy to make money from these kind of websites. But the search engines got smarter and eventually caught up to all of these auto generated pages. These kind of websites all left a big "footprint" which could quickly be identified by the search engines. And incomes, which used to be anything from $1000-$50000 a month, suddenly dropped off to less than $100 a month and then vanished completely. Did this happen to you, too? I certainly know that I belonged into that category as well because it was new and it was something I tried just to see how well it would go and for how long it would last. After the Google Slap, when these websites were penalized and pagerank and search engine rankings dropped to zero, things became much harder. You actually had to write good, quality content and think more about how to structure your websites instead of just adding some keywords into a form and pushing a button. Actually, this is a good thing - it brought quality results back into the Top Ten of the organic search results. Quality is back! That's where quality belongs. The spammy pages caused too much trouble for the search engines because so many people complained about the junk results coming up in the top 10 of the results pages. Anyway, fast forward 3,5 years later... Now it has also become much harder to get good rankings for content sites which have nothing but duplicate content on them (no matter if you're using articles from article directories or PLR articles). If you're not changing the articles enough, you site won't rank very well. It's not that Google is filtering out these pages completely. No - but they're just putting these results into a "supplemental index" - which means nothing more than that these pages won't show up in the results pages anymore (you need to click a link at the bottom in order to find these pages and how many searchers will be doing this? Right... not too many....):

By neglecting this, you're giving your site the kiss of death with regards to your search engine rankings. Yes, you can get out of this "supplemental results hell" as I like to call it - by getting hundreds of links pointing to your individual page(s). But wouldn't it be much nicer if your pages would already be listed WITHOUT having to hunt down for thousands of backlinks? Wouldn't it be nice if you could actually make that kind of money which people were previously making with their blackhat sites but in a way which could not get you penalized by the search engines?
